Would it not be more logical if the different sections of the ini file
where set up in alphabetical order?
It sure would make maintenance and changes a lot easier.  :)

I fully agree, even the entries themselves.
Anyway, you can do it any time you want. The order is not relevant, just don't change the section...

Erm, I'm not sure what we're talking about here. The order of sections in the .ini file?
I don't think we can really fully control it. There's Windows API used to access (read/write) the .ini file - and it's up to the operating system how it places the sections (probably depends on which item is written first, but still... there's no way to reorder the sections, unless we'd implement the whole .ini file processing ourselves, which is probably rather useless).

I'll leave it to Alwil... :) :)
Wait sit down... they won't do it...
I'll need to bit my tongue... my big tongue... they came here...

there's no way to reorder the sections
You mean automatically... manually they can be sorted...

which is probably rather useless).
Well, at least will make easier the reading/finding like Bob said before...

Unfortunately if the avast .ini file is API controlled then we're stuck with it in the current order.
( I guess that should be Disorder )
Even the win.ini file isn't in any order.
I guess the culprit is Microsoft not Alwil.  :'(
Thanks igor for your reply.  :)

The file is in your avast! installation folder (in particular, in Data subfolder).
