I like this WinXP on a thumb drive / memory stick idea.  It makes sense to me.  Especially now that you can buy a 1 gig USB memory stick for well under $100... (I've seen some for $50 Canadian).

It doesn't even have to go onto a flash disk. I've been BartPE for ages on a mini CD-RW. It is really great software.
