Installed paid "AIS" from previous computer onto new computer, now clicking "icon" only brings up "install" dialog. Activation code good, everything updated. Ran scan and  finished. Everything was good, or so I thought. Now, whenever I click on the Avast icon, all that comes up is the "AIS" installer  ap asking for permission to install!

Anyone have any ideas?

Donald

Hi
Not sure but off the top of my head an inquiry would be; if the new computer came with pre installed Anti virus (as most do).
Any other anti virus  has to be removed completely with venders removal tool before installing Avast.
Just a thought.

As with anything else, judicial use of these tools is required.  Use only what you need to use, and don't go overboard with it.  You want your new system to run well and at the same time not do anything to harm it.  Use only what you need to resolve your issue; the other stuff is for future reference in case you may need it.
