Protection against Unauthorized Webcam use
I have a simple answer for the unexpected and unauthorized Webcam shots:
The Webcam is only usable when I allow it.
Normally, this is what my laptop looks like:

If the webcam get's activated, nothing is transmitted
unless I move the cover out of the way.

The cover is made by using folded 2 1/2 in. circular cutout like this:

I scotch tape it to the back of the laptop
When I want to use the Webcam, I simply  move it out of the way

and I'm ready to do a Webinar or chat with friends and family.

All Apps (Including Hidden ones) in one Folder for Windows 10:

Here's how:

Open a run command: Windows key and R key
Type the following: shell:appsfolder
Press OK

(Credits for this go to https://davescomputertips.com/author/richard-pedersen/ )

you can get the same result by creating a folder and renaming it to "GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}" which then adds every app into said folder even hidden ones, works in windows 7 and later.
edit: my bad its the Windows Master Control Panel shortcut which gives you access to all windows control pannel settings and hidden ones.

I never use the webcam on my laptop and have not seen any unauthorized usage either. I don't have anything installed that uses it except for the HP drivers.

Why wait until you see some unauthorised use (even if you manage to see it), it is too late by then.

Here's MY Version of "The Best Security Suites of 2016"
I read the following article today ( http://goo.gl/r283ml ) and don't understand why anyone want's to spend all that money
when there is protection available totally free of charge.
Protection and Security just as good or better than what's suggested in that article.
Here are the programs I suggest that once installed will protect your system and do it all for FREE.
What's better than being fully protected and doing it all for Free:
Avast Free Nitro Update ( https://www.avast.com/index ), an excellent Free Antivirus that I've personally used since 2003 and am happy to endorse.
Since the free version of Avast doesn't have a Firewall, I suggest that you use the Firewall built into Windows. The Firewall built into  Windows 7 through 10 gives you all the protection you need and is already a part of your operating system. Verify via the Control Panel that it is turned on and active.
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free ( https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/ ) is an excellent Companion to your Antivirus program regardless of who's product you happen to use.
WinPatrol Free (http://www.winpatrol.com/download.html ), monitors your system for changes and warns you when an unexpected changes occurs. It allows you to investigate that change and, reject it if it's something you don't want.
Unchecky ( https://unchecky.com/ ), un-checks unwanted add-ons that are preselected when you install a wanted program. This often happens unnoticed when using a default install. I personally always do a custom install so I can see what's being installed, where it's being installed and, I can manually uncheck what I don't want installed.
McShield (http://www.mcshield.net/ ) prevents boot infections on external devices from infecting your system.
Opera ( http://www.opera.com/ ) Now with Free VPN to keep you safe when using Open WiFi.
Enjoy the security, the protection and the price.

avast! for Linux

I still have it available here:
https://goo.gl/cqSzRi
It's not been supported for many years. Virus Database updates are still available.
The age of the program really doesn't matter as long as those VPS updates continue.
It's one way for the home user of Linux to still protect their system using Avast.

Sometimes Windows Update gets stuck and needs to be refreshed.
I have a batch file that I use when Windows Update get into a loop where half of it decides the update has already been done
and the other half insists that it hasn't received the update. It's a simple Script to Reset / Clear Windows Update.
Copy the following, open Notepad and past it into Notepad. Save this as WindowsUpdateReset.bat

@ECHO OFF
echo Simple Script to Reset / Clear Windows Update
echo.
PAUSE
echo.
attrib -h -r -s %windir%\system32\catroot2
attrib -h -r -s %windir%\system32\catroot2\*.*
net stop wuauserv
net stop CryptSvc
net stop BITS
ren %windir%\system32\catroot2 catroot2.old
ren %windir%\SoftwareDistribution sold.old
ren “%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\application data\Microsoft\Network\downloader” downloader.old
net Start BITS
net start CryptSvc
net start wuauserv
echo.
echo Task completed successfully…
echo.
PAUSE

Right click on the .bat file you've created and select "Run as Administrator".
Once completed, reboot the system and try your update again.

How to override the Firefox Add-on Signing requirement

  http://www.ghacks.net/2016/08/14/override-firefox-add-on-signing-requirement/

I tried it and it works or you can use Cyberfox (basically Firefox without add-on signing requirement and with additional settings).

Adding a Quick Launch Bar to Windows 10
(The Quick Launch bar goes back to Windows XP)

Next you'll need to type in the Choose a folder box as shown:

If you did this step correctly you'll now see this. Follow the directions shown:

The Quick Launch Bar should now be added to the Task Bar:

A quick way to get to this Quick Launch bar in order to add or delete items
is through the Run Command: Depress the Windows Key and the R key then follow directions:

You can add or delete shortcuts directly from this folder and,
they will reflect in the newly created Quick Launch Bar

Hope you find this useful.

Microsoft's current easy fix solutions
If you have a Windows problem, see if there isn't already an easy fix for it.

To find your version of Windows, use the Windows Key and the R key combination.
Type: winver into the box that opens and hit OK.

You'll see something like this:
