Creating a User Friendly link using Microsoft Edge
Here is an example of a Friendly link and its unfriendly counterpart.
(4) Security News Roundup - YouTube
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1_9cbkt8g234vgMwj9ZVuEENx9XdI1oO
Both wind up at the same YouTube location. The first one is certainly easier on the eyes.
You'll find the tutorial on how to make this change in Edge so you can use this function below.
https://davescomputertips.com/how-to-create-user-friendly-links-in-edge/?utm_source=mailpoet&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=dave-s-computer-tips-weekly-recap-for-date-custom-or-format-l-js-f-y_1
Maybe this is easier?
How To Create User-Friendly Links In Edge | Daves Computer Tips
Once you've made the changes, simply use the following to paste the copied link in your
preferred format.
Not friendly, Ctrl Shift V
User friendly, Ctrl V
Currently, this only works in Edge

Windows 11 Context Menu (Right click menu)
Usually used to do something special with a file or a Folder
In Windows 11, you now get a condensed listing of the possible file interactions available.
That context menu is usually limited to the most used functions.

If you need access to anything outside of those most used functions,
you'll need to select 'Show more options'
Since those most used functions don't include possible actions available via third party apps.
It's a pain to always have to use that extra step of selecting 'Show more options'
in order to get to your function provided by the third party app.
There is a native way around this annoyance.Instead of using the right click option on the selected file or folder,
use the shortcut keys of Shift + F10 and the full Context menu will display.

PowerToys - Find Your Mouse

I just hit the control key once (either left or right) and I get a sonar like pulse/blip pinpointing the mouse pointer.

I don't have PowerToys installed.  I have had this setting for many years and I think it is an option in the Logitech Mouse software setup if memory serves me well.

Your are correct David. When this option is selected.

But, not everyone has a Logitech mouse.
This function in PowerToys makes that feature
available for any mouse user.

Wow, haven't lost my marbles yet.

Whilst Logitech is very popular (I have been using them for many many years), but yes not everyone uses them, so this is another option.

Did your WYZW Watch change to the correct time this morning?
Mine did not and if yours also didn't change here's what to do.
Open the WYZE App on your phone, Choose the Watch
Next, click on the Clock Face option next, select change
next select either your current or a new clock face.
As soon as you do that, check your watch. It's now set
to the correct time.
I was looking for a setting to do that but there isn't any.
Changing the Clock face or, re-selecting your current Clock face
forces the watch to display the correct time.
Who Kew? I just stumbled on this through frustration. :)

Are you tired of Edge taking over as
the Default Browser?

A new tool called MSEdgeRedirect.exe has just been released
to solve that problem.
I used to use EdgeDeflector but it's no longer working.
Get MSEdgeRedirect.exe directly from GitHub at:
https://github.com/rcmaehl/MSEdgeRedirect

Once installed, right click on it's system tray icon and select:
Start with Windows
That's it, now your default browser is again your default browser.

Firefox users can't reach Microsoft.com — here's what to do

Thanks for that.

Whilst I rarely visit Microsoft, so I think I will wait for the fix, rather than make the suggested fix, just in case I forget to reverse it when official firefox fix arrives.

Start the new year on the right foot.
This can help get you out of a jam but only if it's turned on.
