Install Stand alone client then connect to admin Console
« on: January 22, 2015, 04:26:29 PM »
I am not sure if Im going to use the Small Office Administration Console for avast! Endpoint Protection Suite or the Enterprise Administration Console for avast! Endpoint Protection Suite yet. I am making an image can I install just a client and then attach it after to the admin Console I end up using?

Did you ever figure this out?  Seems no one answers questions on this forum.

If my memory is correct, I installed the client on a test machine before setting up the Enterprise console and it found the client when I did the initial search.  (You may want to wait for someone with more knowledge to post, though.)

I assume you are installing the client in trial mode for 29 days.... that being said, if you have the eas setup prior to the termination of the trial period, you may direct it to the ip of your eas machine later. It will probably work after that as well, but i have not tested to confirm. Until your eas is setup, it will retrieve updates from the internet. Hope this helps
