SecureLine VPN Android App, tethering doesn't work
« on: January 26, 2015, 03:14:29 AM »
    Hello,
I have a one year subscription for the Android App "Avast SecureLine VPN". When my smartphone is connected to a WiFi network, Avast SecureLine works great.
But I have a problem with the "Tethering" option: the smartphone is perfectly connected and I can directly use the smartphone to surf the internet with no problem; however all the devices that are using the tethering connection from my smartphone, get networking issues:
    • The network is limited (that means "No internet access")
    • The troubleshooter says that "DNS server isn't responding"
Any idea about how to use Avast SecureLine when "tethering" the internet connection with  other devices?
    Thanks!

Since Avast also has a PC version of their SecureLine VPN software which is more expensive, it's possible that they are deliberately blocking the mentioned usage scenario of their android version of the software. I tried it too and the results are the same.

Yes, you're right! This might be the reason.
