Outdated definitions
« on: January 29, 2015, 10:32:28 AM »
I have Avast Premier 2015 and noticed yesterday I had a pop up saying 'Your Virus definitions are out of date' So clicking on the update button. It checks and then says 'Engine and definitions already up to date (15028-0) Latest Version 29/01/15 09.20.

So why do I keep getting a pop up window saying the definitions are out of date?

Using Windows 7 64bit

Do a repair of avast via add/remove and see if it helps resolve the issue? What previous antivirus did you use prior to Avast? Did you use your previous antivirus removal tool after you uninstalled it via add/remove?

I have used Premier for the past year and everything has seemed fine until yesterday. Will try to repair as you suggested.

After repair do a manual reboot of your computer. Report back if it didn't help.
