Hi! I uninstalled the old version of Avast in Safe mode using the recommended application and followed all the steps. Then I installed the latest Avast version. All went smooth. However, the problem with updates remains. As I try to refresh either the virus base or the program Avast gives me an unnown error. I checked my other laptop with Avast - udates go well there, same new version there. If there are no updates it says "no updates required". Here, however, I have this - https://www.screencast.com/t/c7pglTzZuz7k

Win7 pro 64. Avast version - https://www.screencast.com/t/4qWgbE93z

What else could cause the prob with updates? If you require more info, I'll provide

Sorry for my complete noobism, but where do I type those things to?

Also if it is a network prob, why doesn't the other laptop suffer from it. Both laptops share the same wifi network

Hi, you advise safe mode reinstall again? Cause I cannot update, this is the whole point ::)

Also I noticed that whereas Avast on the laptop that works properly offers to update once user interface pops up, the problematic one somehow does not offering scan instead. Manual update does not work. Could there be some malware preventing Avast from updating, even checking updates?

Hi, I installed the new version, but the problem remains. This time Avast has notified me that there is an update, but it cannot load it, I recorded it (Avast tries to download it for 5.5 min, then gives me an error):

Also I have a problem with the update. And also with product activation! And I do not have a free version! I have an Avast Premier! But I can not perform activation through either a key or a license file! I can not login to my account! It is the latest version of the program. The old one I deleted through safe mode! What did you do with the program? Before that, everything worked perfectly!

Yup, tried GoogleDNS and OpenDNS, same result

Just now Avast gave me this -

What setup, I wonder?
