Your License expires in -16466 days.
« on: February 10, 2015, 07:35:44 PM »
Greetings from the GREAT Country of TEXAS,

I keep getting this screen in my Avast! FREE 2015.10.0.2208 about SecureLine VPN and never have had a license, cannot afford it on a retirement income.  Is that supposed to be minus 16466 days?

I suggest that you go to the control panel, select programs and features, then select Avast, scroll down and select change.
Unselect SecureLine. When the process is finished, reboot your system and any notice about SecureLine will be gone. :)

Secureline came as a trial, so yes if you didn't bought a license for it it is logical the trial license has expired.
Nothing to worry about, although it is a bit strange, it is normal.

I do suggest you update avast to the latest version.

bob3160,

There is NOT any SecureLine VPN installed in CPanel.  So that will not work.

Ed,

I will attempt the update to 10.0.2209.

Well I did go into Avast Settings/UPdate and it tells me I am up to date there is not any.  The one you posted is BETA format and I do not use BETA, guess just await the official release.

Thank YOU to both posters to my issue . .

"select Change" (from the options offered by CP, after selecting Avast) was the key part of Bob's post which you apparently missed.  That step will open a long, multi-column list of avast features so you can choose which ones you want to remove by unticking them.
