Avast Free not updating due to cancel of secure line

I cannot get a new license key told to ask for one when cancelled secure line because it would no longer update. Tried several times cant find how to get this done. Still have cancelled line which is why suspect not updating to stop me using it but never have because no instructions to set it up so asked for refund. Got it. Now just want it off tried uninstall and reinstall does not work.
Even using Geek which is only 64 bit uninstaller I know - didnt take off all the data obviously.

Need to get fresh new license key. Any ideas?

Checked those out - didnt cover my problem but thanks anyway.

I did however read down and see another problem and answer by Really irritated.

Which did explain a bit I hadnt seen in this newer version. And went to control panel and used repair, have to say first time it actually worked on a program that I have used. Anyway unticked most of the additions like grime fighter etc.

I have 1 pc and 1 laptop and 1 external HD plugged into PC but Avast says I have more devices. And 2 offline could be Ext HD and laptop but another 2 for some reason. 

Also another 2 pages. first said   You are protected but then underneath
Filled in triangle - Shields turned off.

Not advanced user and self taught Senior so any help welcome. 

Maybe un-ticked too man, left home network as Wifi to lap top.

But these last 2 pages are conflicted.

Have I or have I not got the usual for Anti Virus only.

I run SAS real time and have OA Firewall, plus Spyware Blaster. Also boot only Malaware Bytes.
