HELP FIX - com.avast.helper quit unexpectedly - MESSAGE

I keep getting this message every couple seconds ... com.avast.helper quit unexpectedly ... its driving me mad as I can't find anything in search online or in here at AVAST.

It started yesterday when I reloaded my Snow Leopard operating system.
Everything else is absolute sweet.

What is in the system log file? Does it generate some crash report?
