What free firewall do you think works best with avast? The only reason I included Sygate is because it is still free and has not been announced to be discontinued yet to my knowledge. This Poll does not expire.

All of them seems pretty well behaved along with avast!  Been with Zone Alarm, Kerio, and Sygate and they all work fine my avast! home edition.  But I always go back to Zone Alarm just for the heck of it.   :)

Hi Turkey,

Maybe a coincidence, but after using Sygate, I returned to ZA also.

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

Be careful, although I hear positive feedbacks from this firewall, I heard it's configuration is very advance and probably difficult for many users ;)

Yes it is especially for a free firewall,I wanted to try it on another computer awhile to see if I like it well enough to try it on this computer. :)
