Avast Free - Scripted/Silent Uninstall

Got some Avast software that somehow got installed without authorization and we are needing a way to uninstall it.

The particular version in question is Avast Free Version: 10.0.2208

Do you mean that Avast itself was installed without your permission ?  If so then use control panel

avast doesn't install itself.
Do you mean a existing installation upgraded ?

A new installation, pretty sure somebody installed it without authorization.

What problem do you have with uninstalling it?
uninstall from control panel and run the uninstall tool, that is all.

Avast doesn't install itself. Removing it using control panel and the avast removal tool is very simple but,
doesn't fix the underlying problem.
If someone installed Avast without your permission then you better solve that problem first. ")
