 :(

Like the others, sadly, it didn't work. Avast still reports my licence as 'expired'.

I haven't tried the workaround. I was just going to wait for the update. I got another email this morning that said the update won't be available until Monday.

Drop back and report on the 'fix' :)

Seems there is a NEW Release that addresses this issue.

Thank you Avast.
Just wanted to confirm the new program update does indeed fix the licence issue and everything is working as it should.
One happy customer :)

I also ran a program update this morning. It ran through several scripts and then prompted me to restart the computer. Upon restart, I was able to successfully insert my VPN license so that it now appears "active".

Maybe engineering turned the helpdesk staff into bad moods for a short period of time. Or maybe they outsourced their helpdesk. Whatever the case, I hope this was a hiccup of what I've come to expect from Avast as it relates to customer service and product experience.

I had the same issue upgrading from the trial version, until I did *exactly* what it states. "Save to Desktop and double click". Trying to open from Downloads folder was preventing it from working for some reason.

I bought a new licence because my first one will expire in 2 weeks. I got a .txt file with a mail afterwards. Can anyone tell me where I have to put this now? I have no idea how to activate it.

Wait for the button to appear. You'll notice I had 5 days remaining when I made this video. :)
