Can't find boot scan log file mentioning corrupted files
« on: February 19, 2015, 02:13:13 AM »
I just finished running a boot scan and noticed some files mentioned as corrupted, but I'm not seeing where in the interface how to check which files were corrupted, and the "chest" files don't mention them (only viruses).

Is there a place to check to see which files were corrupted? I'm honestly not even sure if they were moved to the chest, and I didn't write down where the log file was that the scan used.

Avast likes to identify files as corrupted when it can not read them during a scan. More if those files are cab. You can find the log or report of the boot scan here:

Windows XP  C:\Documents And Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVAST Software\Avast\Log or reports

 Vista, Win 7 and 8  C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\Log or reports

You have to check "Show your hidden folders and files" in Folder Option to view these folders.
