trendmicro's online scan show this:

Results:
We have detected 0 infected file(s) with 3 virus(es) on your computer. Only 0 out of 0 infected files are displayed.
Detected File                                     Associated Virus Name
Partition Table on Physical Disk 2     Generic_408*
Partition Table on Physical Disk 2     Generic_408*
Partition Table on Physical Disk 2     Generic_408*

[Aliases: New Zealang-i, NYB]

now I have earlier used the fdisk /mbr to fix the C:\ (disk 0)
have run trendmicro, then downloaded aVast! when TM could not clean.
updated definitions, ran boot time scan, yet this virus still seems present on the E: and F: drives (disk 1).

any suggestions on how to thoroughly clean this virus? apart from a fdisk/format/reisntall?
thanks
C

ha HA!

did some thinking on fdisk and perhaps resetting disk 2 to active, then realized that would not work. found command:

fdisk /CMBR 2

reset the mbr for the second HD, and trendmicro now, no longer finds the virus on disk 2 :)

hope this helps someone
