Why can malcreants do what they do?
« on: October 05, 2005, 08:07:44 PM »
Hello anti-malware fighters,

Read here one of the reasons virus writers keep doing what they do, and why MS refuses to close multiple backdoors, it created for a number of reasons like piracy tracking, market research, user support, and as kind of unpaid informant for such institutions as IRS, DHS, DEA, other federal and state, and even international agencies together with its "strategic commercial partners".

What the message boils down to is do not leave the browser as default! And don't install plug-in you do not trust.

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!
