Right after the update, I scanned, got (what could, and probably was be another Steam false alarm/false positive, but I wasn't taking chances) an announced infection, did a boot-time scan (which detected nothing harmful), and then later (out of pure paranoia) did another quick-scan, which also detected nothing wrong.
Today I did a smart-scan, which normally finishes in less than ten minutes. However, multiple attempts to smart scan resulted in the same effect-much slower, and while it makes it through the "Viruses and Malware" part all right without any issues except being slower, it gets stuck at 81% in the "Network Security" (if that's the right word) phase, for much longer than it otherwise did.
I will attempt to use control panel repair, but wonder if something's wrong.
