I have used free Iconoid for several years to hide desktop icons, remember positions, etc. A new version is now available that supports x64.    :)

http://www.sillysot.com/

This website is nice in that you can scroll over the tabs in the picture of Iconoid control panel to see it's features.

Thanks bob3160 for the link to ERUNT - The Emergency Recovery Utility NT .
I've been trying to find a decent/simple  Registry backup method for My Son's system  (for obvious reasons  ;) ) who is using  XP Home Ed.
Using XP pro I  have the Backup utility ; dont know why MS didn't include it with XP Home edition, but that's Microsoft for you. ::)

Lost your Windows Key
and can't find it?

THIS little app can do it for you.

Please note:
This is NOT a KeyGen. If you don't have one,
It will not create one.

A new way to listen to streaming music
"Your way - the way You like it"

Pandora is the doorway to this vast trove of musical information.
With Pandora you can explore to your heart's content.
Just drop the name of one of your favorite songs or artists into Pandora and let the Genome Project go.
It will quickly scan its entire world of analyzed music, almost a century of popular recordings - new and old,
well known and completely obscure - to find songs with interesting musical similarities to your choice.
Then sit back and enjoy as it creates a listening experience full of current and soon-to-be favorite songs for you.

Full facts are available
HERE

I'm hooked. Enjoy :)

WinAudit

This program allows you to perform a detailed audit of the hardware and software configuration of your computer.
The resulting audit report contains details on installed software, license information, peripherals, memory usage,
processor model, network settings, startup programs and more. It can be viewed from within the application,
or optionally exported to text, nicely formatted web page, XML and spreadsheet formats, or sent by email.
WinAudit also supports ODBC connections and can export audit data to an existing database.
Very small, standalone program that works well.
Download it from here:
http://www.snapfiles.com/dlnow/dlnow.dll?Inc=No&ID=107817

The program is also available at:
http://mysharedfiles.no-ip.org/

Enjoy :)

Handy app to have ... downloaded ... thanks, Bob!    :)

One thing I like is that it gets the model & serial numbers that some other programs do not.

Thanks for all these excellent Tools/ Applications/ Programs , Bob3160 . I never go away empty handed  ;)
Trying out " Better Tabs " ,  the Firefox extension on the previous page.
Must be one of the most powerful FF addons I've come across. The  " Save Session " feature is very interesting and unique . Took me a moment to figure why my profile was so large.  ;D

UploadExpress 1.0.2 Build 41

Upload Express was designed to make uploading a file to a particular location easy!
Upload Express currently supports uploading to YouSendIt, ImageShack, and any FTP Server you desire.
Upload Express is a Windows Explorer plugin that sits in the context menu.
You can select a file, and then right click and Upload!

Full details and download link available HERE
The file can also be downloaded from MySharedFiles

The pictures in here where uploaded to ImageShack using this great new utility.
The way I have it set up, it saves the URL to the picture in the clipboard all you have to do
is insert it in the image prompt or, between code and your picture will be displayed.

Enjoy :)

If you take lots of pictures like I do, then you know not all of them are perfect.
To dark, to light, red-eye, wrong size, etc.  etc.
PXN8 can even fix the photos you have stored on-line.
Now you don't need Photoshop or another expensive program to turn these rejects
into masterpieces. Just do it On-Line.

Once your photos are all fixed, you can save them to your computer or,
send them off to flickr.

You'll find everything you need to get started at:
http://www.pxn8.com/

Enjoy  :)

Talk to a human
Don't you ever get frustrated when you cannot talk to a real live person on the phone,
but get some robot telling you to hit this button, that button, etc.
Well, here is your chance to talk to somebody (a real person).
gethuman contains a listing of phone numbers of many companies
we frequently need to call. These are the phone numbers the companies don't tell you about.  :)

Sorry US only.

AutoStreamer
AutoPatcher's little brother, has finally gone final! At its current state,
AutoStreamer works as a slipstreamer-only. Basically, all it really needs is a source
(that being an original Windows CD or a local share) and a Service Pack file.

Screenshots:
Main screen, Using CD, Picking Service Pack file, Skiping slipstreaming, ISO options, Working!

Requirements
1. Windows 2000/XP/2003 (Windows 9x/Me won't do)
2. The latest (complete) version of AutoStreamer
3. Administrative privileges
4. A CD recorder and a blank CD

Supported Service Pack files:
- Windows 2000: SP3 onwards (meaning you can't select a SP1/SP2 file as a service pack)
- Windows XP: Any
- Windows 2003: Any

Running AutoStreamer
Here's an example of Windows XP SP2 slipstreaming by Powerless: Guide

Download:
AutoStreamer 1.0.33 (Installer) [844KB]

Brought to you by SteelTrepid and Raptor

I've provided a new and faster download link for the Installer.

Have fun  :)
