Love that song but don't know what it is?
Tunatic can tag it for you!

Full details and downloads are available HERE

The Windows version is also available from MySharedFiles. Direct download is available HERE

Their database of song titles is constantly being updated. It doesn't have all the answers but,
when you don't have a clue, Tunatic is handy to have around.

Enjoy :)

ERUNT - The Emergency Recovery Utility NT
=========================================

Registry Backup and Restore for Windows NT/2000/2003/XP
Windows 9x/Me automatically create backups of the registry at startup.
Unfortunately, this is not the case with Windows versions based on the
NT kernel.
In Windows NT and 2000, the registry is never backed up
automatically, and in XP it is backed up only as a function
of the System Restore program.
If you're like me and have System Restore turned off, then your registry
In Windows XP will not be backed up.
Using ERUNT solves that problem and gives you a restorable registry.

Here's a neat trick:
Before installing a new program for testing purposes one could
save the registry with ERUNT, install and test the program, uninstall
it and restore the registry to be 100% sure that no debris is left.
Full details and download links are available
Here

It is also available from MySharedFiles. Direct download is available HERE
Enjoy :)

How to remove unused device drivers from Windows XP machines
Press [Windows]+[Pause/Break] Keys to bring up the System Properties dialog box.
Select the Advanced tab and click the Environment Variables button.
Click the New button below the System Variables panel.
In the New System Variable dialog box, type devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices in the Variable Name text box and 1 in the Variable Value text box.
Click OK to return to the System Properties dialog box and then click OK again.
Select the Hardware tab and click the Device Manager button.
In Device Manager, go to View | Show Hidden Devices.
Expand the various branches in the device tree and look for the washed out icons, which indicate unused device drivers.
To remove an unused device driver, right-click the icon and select Uninstall.

For full details with helpful screenshots, please check the lates entry in my HighlyRecommended website.

The longer you're current Win XP system has been installed, the more useless and sytem resource hogging unused
device drivers you'll find. I've removed approximately 45 from my own system.

Hope this helps :)

MSConfig is a tool which comes with Windows.
It includes a basic startup manager which allows you to enable/disable auto-start programs.
It does not however allow you to completely remove an entry from the list.

MSConfig Cleanup to the rescue!  It scans the startup configurations and allows you to remove any item that
has been previously disabled via MSConfig.

Desktop Control Panel
=====================

This utility temporarily hides desktop icons. The tool is ideal for when you need to grab a screen capture
of a dialog box and want a blank background. Just unzip the program, copy it to your desktop,
and run it when you want a clean desktop.
That's quite a utility for 19KB!

Process Lasso
for Windows NT/XP/2000/2003 only.
=================================

Click on the image for a full size view
Process Lasso is a unique new technology intended to automatically restrain running processes that are consuming too many CPU cycles.
Often times, processes that are 'out-of-control' can bring an NT system to a near halt.
Once one or more processes have become CPU resource hogs, termination of the offending process(es)
is very difficult since it is nearly impossible to even open the task manager.
