WinPad is FREEWARE!
WinPad comes with more than basic text formatting features like:
Centre, Right, Left align text
Underline, Strikethrough text
Set text as subscript, superscript
Change text colour
Change text to lower or uppercase
Insert images in the document
WinPad doesn't have the 64k limit of Windows Notepad
Ability to email the file
Few features which will be useful for programmers.
Screen shots and download link available at:

Enjoy :)

In WinPad, has any one figured out how to change the background color???
Black isn't acceptable since most cut and past functions consist of black text color.

Ya know, i've been using this for a few months or more and I can't complain.. .Back when I installed it I did notice a difference in my overall system performance for the better... Mind you I have lots of little gadgets tho lol.. But the one thing I did notice in your screenshot tonight is the *49* problems and that was the Exact amount of errors mine showed to on my system... That I don't understand and wonder if other users when they first set it up get those same results?

Just an observation on my part...

Hi Sherri
have been running this utility/program for quite some time.
No when I first ran the program it detected 11 so called errors to the default Windows XP settings. If you have tweaked some of your Win Xp Registry settings,
Advanced Windows Care will report these as possible problems/errors  when they are not
eg Advanced Windows Care detects that there is an error in NTFS in the 8.3 naming convention which I have altered by choice.
Other examples are:
thumbnail size value should be 60
Icon Color value should be 8
Icon wasp titles should be disabled
So I guess what I am trying to say is that not all of the reported error are true error as such, well thats
as clear as mud but I hope it helps to explain some of the errors Advanced Windows Care is set to repair ???

Hi TedNelly, Well that definately makes sense, I didn't even think about the changes/tweaks I have made prior to installing that program   ::)   But it was just kinda strange to see DrHayden1's post/pic showing the exact amount of errors/fixes as mine....

"Clean as Mud" LOL, like that expression   ;D ... Yep sure does explain it now to me... Tks sweetie   ;D

The PM function of the forum is more suited for these answers.....
sherriBabee,
Your Avatar is much larger than the usual size used for an avatar.
It would be nice if you could adjust it or, if you need help, most of us would
