Starter v5.6.2.8

Click picture to Enlarge

Starter is yet another startup manager for Microsoft Windows
As a primary purpose, Starter allows one to view and manage all the programs that are starting automatically whenever operating system is loading.
It enumerates all the hidden registry entries, startup folders' items and some of the initialization files, so that the user could choose to temporarily
disable selected entries, edit them, create new, or delete them permanently.
Secondary purpose is to list all the running processes with possibility to view extended process' information
(such as used DLLs, memory usage, thread count, priorities etc.), and to terminate selected process
(even a Windows NT service, having enough access rights).

Another one is Windows' services (and drivers) manager with some advanced features.
Starter is a real Freeware program and is not crippled in any way among the similar products.
The user interface is pretty simple and has a lot of options that are self-explanatory.

 System requirements
Microsoft Windows 9x, Me, NT, 2000, XP, 2003.
There are no specific requirements except this one: registry operations on a Windows NT based operating system may require special access rights.
As a rule, members of "Administrators" and "Power Users" groups have nothing to worry about.
Starter.zip is also available from MySharedFiles

Enjoy. :)

New! Introducing Gmail Paper
Everyone loves Gmail. But not everyone loves email, or the digital era. What ever happened to stamps, filing cabinets, and the mailman? Well, you asked for it, and it’s here. We’re bringing it back.
A New Button
Now in Gmail, you can request a physical copy of any message with the click of a button, and we'll send it to you in the mail.
Simplicity Squared
Google will print all messages instantly and prepare them for delivery. Allow 2-4 business days for a parcel to arrive via post.
Total Control
A stack of Gmail Paper arrives in a box at your doorstep, and it’s yours to keep forever. You can read it, sort it, search it, touch it. Or even move it to the trash—the real trash. (Recycling is encouraged.)
Keep it Secret, Keep it Safe
Google takes privacy very seriously. But once your email is physically in your hands, it's as secure as you want to make i

Google has a reputation for loving April Fools Day. Google loves April Fools Day so much in fact they've chosen today to launch two new free products.
The first TiSP, or Toliet Internet Service Provider enables anyone with indoor plumbing to get broadband by simply dropping a fiber-optic cable down their toilet and flushing. Once in your sewer line one of Googles trained Plumbing Hardware Dispatchers (PHDs) will plug your cable into Googles global data networking system and you'll be surfing the web within the hour. TiSP is currently in beta because "when things go wrong, they go very, very wrong"
Gmail is also seeing an upgrade this April Fools Day (Gmail's birthday) with the introduction of Gmail Paper. Gmail paper promises to deliver paper copies of all your favorite emails to your door printed on high-resolution glossy paper. Once you have the emails in hand you are free to file them or simply throw them away. Every email is printed on paper that is "96% post-consumer organic soybean sputum, and thus, actually helps the environment."
Free toliet based internet and paper emails delivered right to your door? With stuff this great you would almost think Google was pulling an April Fools joke. They wouldn't do that though, right

Microsoft announced today that it has acquired a majority stake in pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline.
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said at a press conference, "This is adding true and immediate value for our shareholders."
"Windows Vista is the #1 source of indigestion for IT professionals world wide, the addition of the #1 producer of over the counter antacids seemed a natural fit to Microsoft's current business model," added Microsoft's energetic leader.
Shares of MSFT were up 15% on the news, and analysts across the board came out in support of the announcement. "It's a solid move that should drive tremendous profits for MSFT in 3rd and 4th quarter '07 as IT professionals everywhere attempt in vein to assimilate Windows Vista into their organizations
