How to Permanently Wipe a Hard Drive
Most users are aware they can securely erase files and drives using free utilities like "Eraser" [1] and "Boot and Nuke" [2] that overwrite the data multiple times. At this site [3], suggested by subscriber Chris Price, they show how you can securely wipe a drive using a little-known feature built into many hard drives.

For those of you looking to set up safer browsing through the use of DropYourRights,
you'll find a  tutorial  here
You'll also find some special icons repaired by Sasha and the DropMyRights.msi program ( which is no longer offered by Microsoft  :'( )
at MySharedFiles in the DropMyRights folder.
This should go a long way towards making your browsing experience safe.
Enjoy :)

ALShow

If ALShow can't play that video clip, you're really sunk--this media player claims to handle every codec out there,
and that appears to be true. In addition to the dozens of codecs included with the file (everything from AVI and MOV to Ogg Vorbis and beyond),
the program automatically seeks out missing codecs and downloads them on the fly if needed.

Version: v1.5 beta1
Price: Free
Operating Systems: Windows NT, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows Me, Windows XP

Go to the download page now:
ALShow

May I suggest a perfect video file to try out this software? It's called GodsRealm. (3.85MB)
Enjoy :)

DTaskManager, obviously, is a Task-Manager, but specifically engineered to give additional functionalities
that the Windows bundled TaskManager (and other third party products) do not have:

1. Three different ways to close a process, as the "termination request", the standard "forced termination"
with dialogue tolerance, and the "forced termination" of any type of process,
bypassing all permissions (it can also terminate running system processes).

2. DTaskManager allows you to suspend and reactivate a process (as in Linux). This is useful, for example,
to temporarily suspend a task that uses system resources when you don't want to terminate it (such as a DivX encoding process).

3. DTaskManager allows you to select more than one process at a time, and terminate all of them "simultaneously".

4. DTaskManager does not need any useless confirmation.

Direct download: DTaskManager v.1.51

The zip file is also available from MySharedFiles

Enjoy :)

Did you ever get an error message (missing or corrupt) referring to one of these file types?
DLL  · VBX  · VXD  · OCX  · INF  · SYS  ·
Here are some safe places to find your missing or corrupt dll files:
http://www.dll-files.com/
http://www.dll-download.net/

The following site also has VBX  · VXD  · OCX  · INF  · SYS  · files you might need.
http://www.windll.com/

A great source when you run into a problem.  :)

An Indian discovered that nobody can create a FOLDER in Windows named as "con".

This is something pretty cool...and unbelievable...

At Microsoft the whole Team, including Bill Gates, couldn't answer why this happened!

Try it out yourself...

I knew that years ago....One more thing does anybody know how to create a folder without any name (I mean not even a single character)????

Not I.......but if I was a necromancer like you, I would not bother with such paltry issues as nameless folders  ;)
