I have just installed Avast Antivirus [v 10.9 (43971)] - free version - on my Mac (OS X Yosemite). Unfortunately all the information on the web relates to v 8 so is not applicable. So this Post is to ask some questions:
1) Is there anywhere on the web - other than the Avast Forum - that has information on Avast V 10??
2) Is there an Avast User Manual for v 10 (Mac)??
3) If at some time in the future I want to uninstall Avast what is the recommended process??
4) I have had some alerts - relating to emails - but there is no option associated with the alert (e.g. delete/put in quarantine). Am I missing something?? There was nothing put in quarantine??
5) Is there a way to delete historical reports??
6) On some reports it states that some files could not be scanned by Avast. How do I find out which files these are??
7) In the scan settings - the default is a tick against "Report potentially unwanted programs (PUP)" - could you explain what this means/give me an example??

10) Does Avast scan archived files/compressed files??
11) Does Avast have a heuristic process to try to detect zero day threats??
