hi silly question the round symbol that shows in the to right hand corner to show the site is safe is now black and like a piece of jigsaw? thanks j.baker. :-\

Don't know if it's related, but I get what sounds like the same thing while I'm waiting for My Account to load (e.g., when curious about recent additions to my "karma" points.  Once it's finished loading, though, everything looks fine, so I've never bothered worrying about it ... assume it's a minor graphics glitch.
