Outlook 2003 compatibility
« on: November 10, 2003, 07:01:17 AM »
I've updated my Outlook but Avast still seems to filter out the body of a message before outlook gets it.

I disable avast and I can get the email header and the body.
I enable avast and I get just the header with NO body!

This is with the new Outlook 2003.

Bug? update? My wrong?

Have you updated avast to the latest version?  I went through this problem awhile back and they fixed it in one of the later program releases.

If you disable inserting messages into emails and it works then it is the same issue.

As far as I know... I've got 4.1.268 and I've got it set to download the latest dats.

Now I feel like a dolt.  I looked last night at the latest updates and didn't see anything about outlook 2003.  I must have missed it because after going through my email I found a notice that told me that it was crucial to update the scanner.  I click on the link and there it is right there "plugin for Outlook is now fully compatible with Outlook 2003"

I updated and all is working fine now.

It happens....Just be glad it was that easy :) .    When I first saw the issue it took me a day to figure out what was going on and what e-mail I missed.

268 was a long long time ago  so I would assume you are on dialup so the best advice I would give is check for program updates more often :) cause you missed 278 and 280 and I think there was another one somewhere in there too before 289, but I might be wrong.
