Back up problems
« on: April 05, 2015, 08:31:58 AM »
I need to uninstall Avast free to resolve a problem with Windows Defender updates and thought it would be prudent to back my configuration settings before running the uninstall utility.
I assume that running Avastclear.exe will remove the config settings as well as the Avast program.

The problem is that when I run the Back up command in General Settings, the program throws up an error message which is - "Error while exporting settings, Access is denied".

Is there something that I need to adjust before running the Back Up Settings function ??

Thanks all.

Ah!,  that maybe it.
I have Win 8.1 local user and says admin right, but I am never to sure if that implies full administrative access.
Do you know how to set it?
