2 questions (Avast Free)

1. Using Avast on my Surface Pro, I installed on the desktop. But I recently was using my machine in Metro mode and think I clicked on a suspect link. Does Avast work on the Metro browser also or  does that need to be installed seperately and run independently?

2. I have at least 2 different accounts. Is it possible to merge them?

1) What is your OS?
If you are using Win8.1 then it's the same OS whether you are using the desktop or the metro look.
If this is the case you do not need to install two avast(s) on the same machine. If you create virtual machines
then each virtual machine must have it's own protection.

2) What do you mean by "two accounts"?
Do you mean that you have multiple devices using the same account?

Thanks for the info on point 1 (yes, 8.whatever so I hope I'm covered).

For the second, I think I created accounts when downloading Avast on various machines over the last 5 or so years so I have more than one account now, with each one attached to a different computer. I'd like to merge them all so that I can access a single account to monitor all my current machines.
