How to disable Secure DNS
« on: April 09, 2015, 08:35:30 AM »
I'm using the latest version of Avast Internet Security 2015.
As my organization does not support the use of Secure DNS, I disable Secure DNS (settings-active protection - Secure DNS - Stop permanently). However, after a restart of my computer the Secure DNS feature is turned on again. The "stop permanently" option simply doesn't work!!

Does anyone have a solution?

control panel > software > avast > change > remove the checkmark in front of Secure DNS

Strange,

I have just tested it, and it works fine with me.
But Eddy's solution is also possible if you don't want to use Secure DNS at all.
