Yosemite 10.10.3 and Google 2-step Authentication
« on: April 09, 2015, 09:49:07 PM »
Since Apple updated Yosemite to accept Google's 2-step authentication, under System Preferences > Internet Accounts, when I click on one of my Google accounts, a popup displays, but it just hangs, unless I disable the web shield. I've tried adding the URL accounts.google.com under Excluded servers, but that doesn't work. So, I don't know if this is an update Avast needs to do.  :-\

The issue has been addressed and will be fixed in next release. Thanks for pointing it out. Meanwhile, as a workaround you can add https://gil.apple.com to Web Shield excluded servers.

That worked! Thanks so much! I'm assuming once it's been updated I can remove the URL from exclusion?

No. The "fix" will consist exactly of adding gil.apple.com to the excluded servers ;-)
