Running 'Avast Internet Security' 2015.10.2.2217 on XP 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600, DELL OptiPlex 745. I was very satisfied with the Avast product until an update received on 11/2014. Ever since then have experienced the following problems:
1. HTML5 content doesn't play in youtube using SafeZone browser. Flash content does play.
If it's HTML5 the ad will play with no sound, then it spins when the actual video starts, although you can thumb through the video and see the stills. Works all ok using IE8.
I've disabled all the RealNetworks plugins. Doesn't help.
2. Because of 1. the site last.fm doesn't work using SafeZone. Unclear why SafeZone still uses Flash 13,0,0,206. I mean we're up to 17,0,0,169.
3. Websites intermittently crash with 'Aw! Snap' using SafeZone.
4. avastsvc.exe often takes 100% cpu on one core when I'm using IE8. Disabling the firewall fixes that.
5. SafeZone is sometimes very slow to load sites.
Has anyone else experienced this?
