Yes, the latest version.

Showing tabs is the default setting.

I'm actually quite glad I was able to turn the tabs off because they always annoyed me and I never blocked any flash content- I hadn't noticed the option before.

It's probably worth repeating that Flash content won't display with Adblock enabled in Firefox unless the default settings are changed after updating the Flash plug-in to patch the security hole.

I'm sure there're going to be plenty of Firefox users scratching their heads over this after updating.

Microsoft's Secret Bug Squasher

Microsoft has developed a tool called the Static Driver Verifier, or
SDV, that uses "model checking" to analyze the source code for Windows
device drivers and see if the code that the programmer wrote matches a
mathematical model of what a Windows device driver should actually do.
If the driver doesn't match the model, the SDV warns that the driver
might contain a bug.

Flash vulnerability compromises IE and Opera security

Internet Explorer and Opera users have been urged to upgrade to protect
against a newly discovered flaw. The vulnerability, in Flash Player
version 7.0.19.0 and earlier, could allow a hacker to compromise their
system.
For an update and the fix, go to the following site:

The triggerpages_mmcom/flash.html may not work for Firefox or Opera (or any other non-activeX browser) as they don't have activeX which is required for installation of the macromedia flash plugin.

Download Macromedia flash - This worked for firefox as an off-line flash plugin installer, not sure if it would work for Opera.

I had no problems opening the link in both FF and Opera. :)

There is no problem opening the link, just not being able to install the activeX control, so with firefox it just sat there and would have still been sat there waiting, if I hadn't closed it before going to bed.

The trigger page is meant to launch the activeX control, the page loads but can't complete the actions.

New Linux virus jumps the distribution borders

Batten down the hatches! A new Linux worm is making the rounds and, unlike usual exploits that tend to be distribution-specific, Linux.Plupii, aka Luppi, aka Lupper, attacks a wide range of Linux flavours by hitting the applications rather than the operating system itself.

Windows was 22 years old as of November 10th. Windows was released on Nov 10th 1983
Take a trip down memory lane with
Windows' best and worst moments.
Some of us still remember when it was first released. ;D ;D
