Feature request: more user actions in Scan Results
« on: April 22, 2015, 11:25:12 AM »
I think we need some more user actions in the Scan Results window where Avast shows  found Threats.
Now the user can only click on one of the following actions: Fix automatically, Move to chest, Repair, Delete, Do nothing.
That's all good and fine, but I would like to be able to start other kinds of "actions" too, such as:
Permanently ignore (Add file to exclusions),
Show in folder in Windows Explorer,
Google search threat name (in order to know more about it),
Check file on independent multiscan web site (VirusTotal.com or other similar web site of choice),
Send suspicious file to Avast (zip and email it to virus@avast.com for further examination in case you believe it's a FP),
Export threat list as a text file.

Just a note on the google search.
Different av vendors have different names for the same malware.
What avast calls e.g. abc another may call it df4

There are also people who don't want to use google but another search engine like DuckDuckGo

Right you are on both counts.
Ideally, the favorite search engine should be set by user in Settings.
