Translucent effects in Win 2k not working
« on: November 23, 2003, 11:47:55 PM »
The Translucent effects option doesnt appear to work. I'm using the glass plate skin and have tryed rebooting aswell. Other software works in Translucent mode so I dont think theres any system problem. I dont mind if it wont work as Translucent is annoying but just wondering why.

Anyway great software and appears to be better than AVG whilst refering to AV reviews (and most others inc Norton).   ;D ;D ;D ;D

Win 2k Pro (sp 4)
Avast Home edition

The first release of this skin had an bug...
But I tried to download it right now and the translucent effect (which I'm sure it had) disappeared!  ::)
In the other skins this effect went away as well...  >:(

Maybe there is some trouble in the last update of video drivers...
Do you use NVIDIA TNT ?

I did a search for NVIDIA TNT and couldnt find it in device manager or win explorer. Is that an Avast file or standard video codec driver or something.

Hmm, interesting, on our system systems it works fine.
See the screenshot with the default Blue Panel skin.

It's under XP, though.

Just tested it, it works with standard skin same as Vlk but not glass plate (downloaded 2 days ago). I thought the whole skin would be translucent but thats ok anyway.

Vlk, it works when you start the application. Switching the windows (ALT+TAB) loose the translucent effects  ::)

Right now, I don't have them...
