Error message on bootup
« on: May 03, 2015, 06:30:45 PM »
Hi

I have just had the message below come up on the screen when I booted up.  This is the second time now.

Has anyone got any ideas as to why it should happen and how to correct it.

It seems that Avast is still working OK though.
=====================================================
Avast  - Application Error
The exception unknown software exception (0xc000070a) occurred in the application
at location 0x77cfca6d

click OK to terminate the program.
========================================================
 I am using program version 2015.10.2.2218 with the latest virus update.
Any help would be appreciated.

I suggest that you try a repair of Avast.
Control Panel > Programs and Features (Add/remove) > Avast > select Repair.
Once it finises the repair function, reboot your system.
Let us know if that fixes the problem. :)

Hi

I will try that if it becomes a problem thank but have you any idea what causes it.
