How to stop the pop ups

Hi All,

I have the free version of Avast and need to know how do I stop the avast pop ups detecting something saying it has blocked a harmful page?

I click it to go away and it keeps popping up. I don't mind that it detects something but it is annoying as hell.

Anyway to hide these constant pop ups.

You can right click the icon and select silent/gaming mode.

It's been mentioned on the forum that if you're using "hardened mode" (see settings,
it's off by default), selecting silent mode can cause some informational messages not to appear.

I'm not using hardened mode, for me selecting silent mode works great.

Constant blocked harmful pages would likely suggest some malware/adware is on your system, I recommend you follow the procedures in the first post of the Viruses and worms board and attach the logs created for one of the malware team to check over for you.
