WIN32 - Malicious, Trojan and others
« on: May 28, 2015, 05:40:54 PM »
Hey guys I keep getting this error all the time, from teamviewer, logme in and other programs i don't use or have never signed up for. They are all originating from my Mail app in Mac.

I get alot of spam in my Mail app and i delete it and then have tried to set rules for most of it but nothing seems to work. Have ran CCleaner and Avast and is showing no sign of threats. But they continue to pop up.

Would also like to point out, my Mail has completely stopped working, Hostgator have told me that they have blocked my IP as there were 200 failed attempts to login to their server. They will deblacklist it and once an hour goes by it is gone again.

Anyone any ideas?

The infected mails are on the server, the mailshield deletes the infected attachments, when
the mail is fetched from the server, that's why you won't find anything malicious on your disk.

The connection attempts to the server may however be Avast related. Is there something
in the system log file (/var/log/system.log)?
