Hi and welcome,
Im sure Avast! are thankful for your sample and appreciate the effort you have made but as a rule they dont respond to submissions all the time.
If you still have a sample of the virus and you want confirmation of what it is , try posting it here http://virusscan.jotti.org/de/ and scan it with a whole range of scanners .
good luck  :)

Alwil only respond to new submission if they need/want additional information.

I submitted a trojan 4 days ago to virus@avast.com and it doesn't look like they added it into the vps since then.  :o

Alwil will add high risk threads immediatly, other things will be implemented in 'scheduled' updates of the vps. And the submitted samples must have a full version of the malware, if not they can not add detecting for it.

I see no reason to not be in the user side. I mean, shame on Alwil, sorry but detection is detection.

Sure did. I have these 2 bookmarked in favourites:
http://virusscan.jotti.org/
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html

and they both showed no virus found for avast. antivir did alright in both tests though.

Jotti should also pass virus samples on to those AVs that didn't detect it at the time when you uploaded it for testing.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.2.6105 (build 24.2.8918.824) UI 1.0.799/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

Wow! That's very good...
I didn't know that... so it's the easiest way to submit files for analysis  8)
