Exclusion list does not work ...

Avast declared VideoCacheView – part of Nirsoft-Tools – as threat or virus. Avast then offered to declare it as false positive and put it onto the exclusion list ... additionally I had to restore it from virus chest ... done ... and the next attempt to run it results in the same procedure: considered as virus and running was inhibited ...

Only way is to stop Avast protection for the duration of the use of the program ... but that cannot be the solution ...

Sorry – this thread here is treating the problem of nonworking exclusion list – while that thread there is treating impossibility to acces the webpage and download the tool package. I consider "exclusion list" and "no acces to website" as completely different tasks concerning even different parts of avast (file system shield vs. web shield) – even if the problems occur with the same tools-package ...
