Cannot find "unable to scan files"
« on: June 08, 2015, 09:55:50 PM »
Just did a full scan and received a report of 91 unable to scan files
in the report it gave the one "infected" file which has now been deleted
but how do I see the 91 files that were not scanned -- they do not show up

Many such topics in the forums.

In the avast scan report (Scan History, see attached image) it should not only give you the details of infected but also the files that it hasn't scanned and crucially why they couldn't be scanned ?

Once you open the Scan History, select the scan you want to look and and then view the details.

Deletion isn't really a good first option (you have none left), 'first do no harm' don't delete, send virus to the chest (a protected area) and investigate.

There is no rush to delete anything from the chest, a protected area where it can do no harm. Anything that you send to the chest you should leave there for a few weeks. If after that time you have suffered no adverse effects from moving these to the chest, scan them again (inside the chest) and if they are still detected as viruses, delete them.
