Exclude network shares
« on: November 03, 2005, 04:19:46 PM »
I love Avast, however I don't want it doing any scanning on Network shares on my little file server.  It runs Unix and has its own anti-virus that runs every night.  Is there a way to Exclude all Network shares, including mounted shares, from being accessed by the resident shield, or any other portion of Avast that would check mounts on my poor file server?

Tanks!

You should be able to put the network paths to the list of exclusions, e.g. in the form \\server\share\*

Note that there are 2 lists of exclusion - one for the resident protectino (Standard Shield), the other for On-demand scanners.
