Installing JBidwatcher with Avast
« on: June 15, 2015, 05:54:29 PM »
I'm new to Avast, so forgive me if this seems simple to many of you. I just installed a new program called JBidwatcher that is an ebay sniping program. It installs fine, but when I try to launch it, the application will not allow me to log into ebay through the application -- which is required for JBidwatcher to work. After launching the program, I am notified that the login timed out. I have the firewall application rule set for Protocols: Allow All In/Out for the executable.

If I disable Avast, login works fine and the program works perfectly. A note of interest here is that unlike some other applications that I've installed since acquiring Avast, JBidwatcher did not prompt me to allow or disallow the program. Does anyone have any experience with this?
