I am sure there are changes, but so far the Beta is running just fine. It would just be a bit of work to go back to V2218 ... you would think Avast would put an option in program UI to select either the Beta or Release Channels for updates. ... Perhaps this idea should be sent on to the Avast Coding Group ? ? ?

You obviously are using the Free version, as the SafeZone Browser available for Safe Online banking(a major component) has not been/is not functional in the beta.
The beauty is you are free to do what you wish.

Yes, I am using Avast Free ... for my computer, an old Dell 8200 with a P4 and XP Pro it works very well.

News about SafeZone is, that R3 Beta (and R3 release) will contain old SafeZone.
New SafeZone is not ready yet, and will be tested/released later.

Updated to this version a couple of days ago and despite that each time you start Internet Explorer exits the screen HIPS asking whether to accept the change log of internet explorer (resulting from the fact that as a proxy connection are under intranet with its configuration) I must say that the computer seems much more streamlined and responsive than before, congratulations to the staff of Avast

thanks for positive feedback. The problem with IE + HIPS is a bug and will be fixed during beta testing.

thanks for positive feedback. The problem with IE + HIPS is a bug and will be fixed during beta testing.

Thanks for pointing this out, then expect the beta to date although the problem with internet explorer occurs only during the opening of the browser after that warning no longer appears

Not good news for me, as I have had a problem with safezone since march 2014. Which Avast technical staff was unable to fix, and could not put a time line when it would be fixed.

The problem I found with HIPS is that it doesn't remember your decision to allow or deny, it keeps asking over and over, had to fall bacvk to medium sensitivity for now, as its very annoying to allow or deny the same things.

Hi, yes this bug is already identified and it's being fixed.

But what if you make a wrong decission ?
There should be list with allowed and denied decissions, so you can change/delete them as well.
