Sorry, don't know, couldn't resist it ;D

Have you tried an avast repair?
Add Remove programs, select 'avast! Anti-Virus,' click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow. You need to be on-line to do this.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.2.6105 (build 24.2.8918.824) UI 1.0.799/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

Were you referring to boot time or not? I mean, the update does not work just after logon or in any time...

Again, after logon or in any time, in any automated attempt to update?

So, it was a manual update that fails... strange...
Did you allow avast.setup to connect the internet into your firewall settings?

No it was the automatic update that failed the manual worked fine. Yes everything for avast is set to allow with my firewall. I was also using the Pre Release maybe it was a glitch i experienced.
