SafeZone protects from malware on the system, right?
Does it protects from keyloggers or keystroke & info stealing malware?

It cannot protect from man-in-the-middle attack or connections attacks, right?

Is there a virtual keyboard in safezone to protect keystroke or safezone protects the keystroke of the system keyboard?

You have already been told that you protected from key-loggers in the SafeZone, your question 2.

No virtual keyboard is needed. Avast SafeZone is using a low-level kernel mode driver which intercepts keystrokes and sends them only to SafeZone (no malware which would monitor keystrokes can intercept them).

Why is the Chrome browser in SafeZone on version 38? Google Chrome is on version 43.
With the old version, am I missing on any protection like Google malware/phishing, etc...?

SafeZone doesn't use Google Chrome, but a customised version by Avast of the open source browser Chromium https://en.wikipedia.org/?title=Chromium_%28web_browser%29
