MSN in Avast -- Help

When i start my pc and log on to Windows Avast loads en Avast logs on automatically on MSN. MSN stays disabled but it looks like a MSN compatible program is loaded into Avast en logs on at startup. How can i turn this of?? I already tried to turn of the IM in Avast.

What is your firewall?

What you are likely to be seeing is the Web Shield provider, localhost proxy that filters any http traffic (the web port 80) and MSN connects using http protocol so it is monitored by web shield. Unfortunately some firewalls (Sygate) are not capable of recognising the initiating program (MSN) rather than the localhost proxy of web shield.
