weird Avast Emergency Update
« on: June 24, 2015, 10:52:51 AM »
a few minutes ago my firewall asked for permission for "975035c7-378e-4622-ba63-0247983054aa.exe" (checked the em folder and "644a9224-37dc-43e3-821d-61dd4d75b2e3.exe" is sitting there ever since 05/25 (same fileinfo)) to access the internet. Nothing unusual bcs every single emergency update asks but this time from a ip it never asked before "23.209.xx.xxx" (don't know if it's fine to post full ip's here) so i checked what's up with that and saw something like
the usual filename, version are fine but

Copyright - Copyright (c) 2013 AVAST Software
Language - Czech (Czech Republic)
Original filename - 20150107.exe

no Czech languagepack installed, I'm currently in germany and no this computer wasn't offline ever since january

based on the fact that the next update came from the usual ip (range) the server probably wasn't available in that second and the fileinfo is either a win8.1 derp or something nobody bothered to ever change ?

It just has wrong language identifier. Developers are Czech so it's default for some of us.
