Avast Compatibility Check for Other Anti Virus Programs
« on: June 27, 2015, 02:26:40 AM »
I totally removed Avast, installed AVG and then installed the latest beta version of Avast.
Avast told me it discovered Windows Defender I'm still waiting for any word about AVG ???

Both are currently active on my system. Not a Good thing! Windows Defender was turned off.
This test was done on my Windows 10 build 10130 partition.

Hi Bob,

have you restarted PC after AVG installation? It seems that in Windows Security Center is still registered Defender. Please try also running Smart Scan, which now also detects other AVs.

Thx

I installed AVG, rebooted. then installed Avast waiting for it to detect AVG. (Just as outlined in the video) The only thing it detected was Defender.
I've since removed AVG since I don't want to run more than one resident AV on my system.
