Windows system protection using too much disk space
« on: June 24, 2015, 03:42:35 PM »
Hi

For some time now, I have had a problem where windows system protection (which is supposed to be defaulted to 10%) is using 50% of my available disk space on C:// I am aware of this, and regularly go and reset it, but it really is a nuisance, specially where I am using an SSD of 128 Gb! The frequency that I need to change the setting is increasing, as my PC gets older....

I read on another forum that AVAST is suspected to cause this issue but a search ("system protection") has not given me any luck.

Any help on this, maybe make it a "stcky" thread if indeed AVAST is the cause and there is a fix.

Thanks

Hi Gavin,

disable Secure Virtual Machines in Settings.
I believe this will be fixed in the next version.
